The two artists share an interest in anthropology and in crossing borders between different cultures. Their work is an antidote to disenchantment in the world, and they seek to create connections between traditional cultures and contemporary society.</span></p>

<p>In an unprecedented collaboration organized by the these 3 museums, CARIBEEAN: Crossroad of the World an ambitious and trailblazing exhibition, will highlight over two hundred years of rarely seen works.</p>
<p>Works by Jose Bedia,  Agustin Cardenas, Ana Mendieta, Glexis Novoa, Amelia Pelaez, Wilfredo Lam , Lopez Dirube, the spanish born cuban painter Landaluze, and the very American painter born in Cuba Felix Gonzalez-Torres.</p>
<p>“For the first time ever, this project will examine the impact of Africa, South Asia and Europe on the visual culture of the Caribbean, including painters that were part of the Impressionists and Surrealists in France,” notes <em>Caribbean: Crossroads </em>director Elvis Fuentes. With this show, he says, “the public will realize how intertwined the Caribbean and American experiences truly are.”</p>
